Day 1: Find Your Feet In Entebbe

After landing in Entebbe International Airport in Uganda, you will be met and transferred to the nearby Karibu Guesthouse Entebbe for the night. Take this opportunity to relax and unwind following your travels – high-pressure showers, spa and massage facilities, and a swimming pool are all on hand to help with this.

Travel from Entebbe to Ndali Lodge via Fort Portal, passing scenic hills, tea plantations, and the Rwenzori Mountains. Settle into your crater-rim cottage, take a swim, or enjoy a short guided crater lake walk before a peaceful, candlelit dinner.

The next day, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run haven for primates and birds. After lunch, enter Kibale Forest for an unforgettable chimpanzee tracking experience, where sightings are almost guaranteed. Return to Ndali Lodge for sunset views and a relaxing evening.

Depart Ndali Lodge for a scenic 3-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing rural villages, lush farmland, and the Equator crossing. Enjoy wildlife sightings en route before arriving at Kyambura Gorge Lodge, a stylish lodge set on a restored coffee estate.

Explore Uganda’s top big game destination, home to lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and an incredible diversity of birdlife. Enjoy thrilling game drives and a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for its dense hippo population.

Visit the Omwani Women’s Coffee Cooperative, where you’ll tour organic coffee farms and sample what’s often called the best coffee in Uganda.

Kyambura Gorge Lodge – Full Board

Depart Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying a game drive through Ishasha Plains, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. Afterward, take a scenic drive through rolling hills and arrive at Bwindi Volcanoes Lodge, perched on the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Spend the next day on a gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Follow expert guides through the dense forest to spend a magical hour observing a gorilla family in their natural habitat.

Your final day offers time to relax with a forest-view massage, hike the Munyanga River Trail, or engage with local culture through a tea plantation tour or visit to the Ride 4 a Woman women’s empowerment project.

Your primate adventure reaches its finale today. After an early breakfast, a transfer will transport you to the Kihihi Airstrip for a light aircraft flight back to Entebbe International Airport. Upon landing, you will be transferred to The Boma Hotel Entebbe for lunch before heading back to the airport for your next flight.
