4-day Rwanda Primates. Gorilla trekking and Golden monkey tracking

Arrive at Kigali Airport, meet your guide, and transfer to your hotel for your overnight stay in Kigali City. Optionally, explore Kigali with your private guide by visiting local markets, the Rwandan Art gallery, and the Kigali Genocide Museum to learn more about the history of Rwanda.

After breakfast, set off on a 2-hour drive to Ruhengeri in northern Rwanda, enjoying scenic views along the way. Upon arrival, visit the Ellen DeGeneres–Diane Fossey Campus in Musanze for a guided tour, where you’ll learn about gorilla behavior and the conservation work of Dian Fossey.

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing ahead of your gorilla trekking experience. After the briefing, set out with experienced rangers to track a gorilla family in the forest. Once located, you’ll spend up to one hour observing them in their natural habitat. After this unforgettable encounter, return to the lodge to relax and stay.

In the early morning, enter the park for a guided golden monkey tracking experience. These lively primates are typically found on the mid-slopes of the mountain, as they prefer lower altitudes. Enjoy up to one hour observing them in their natural habitat before embarking on a 2-hour drive to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
