Explore Uganda's Wildlife: Gorillas, Chimpanzees and Golden Monkeys

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional guide. You will then be transferred to your pre-arranged hotel in Entebbe town for check-in and relaxation.

After breakfast, you will depart for Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience. This activity is conducted on foot and lasts approximately 1-2 hours, offering a unique opportunity to observe rhinos in their natural habitat.

After the tracking experience, you will enjoy lunch before continuing your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge for check-in, where you can relax and unwind as you await dinner.

Today, you will explore Murchison Falls National Park, starting with a morning game drive. During this drive, you are likely to encounter a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, elephants, antelopes, lions, and buffalo.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a three-hour boat ride to the base of the falls. This scenic journey offers an excellent opportunity to observe water-dwelling animals such as crocodiles and hippos.

After breakfast, begin your 7-hour journey to Kibale Forest National Park, enjoying scenic views of the landscape and tea plantations along the way. You will make a lunch stop in Fort Portal town before continuing your drive to the park.

After breakfast, begin your exciting adventure of tracking chimpanzees in Kibale Forest National Park, which is home to over 1,200 chimpanzees. In addition to chimpanzees, the park hosts a variety of other primate species, including the black-and-white colobus, blue monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkey, and olive baboon.
Chimpanzee tracking typically lasts between 2 and 4 hours. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will have the opportunity to observe them for an hour as they go about their daily activities.

After the chimpanzee tracking experience, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for your overnight stay.

After breakfast, set out for a game drive in the park, where you may encounter a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, bushbucks, Uganda kob, other antelope species, and warthogs.

After lunch, enjoy a unique two-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a 42-kilometer waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This scenic excursion provides an excellent opportunity for photography, with frequent sightings of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and several bird species.

Today, you will explore the southern section of Queen Elizabeth National Park, commonly known as the Ishasha sector. This area is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including the famous tree-climbing lions.
You will embark on a game drive in search of wildlife, with opportunities to spot lions, topis, antelopes, elephants, and other species.

After breakfast, embark on a four-hour drive to Bwindi Forest, enjoying scenic views of the terraced hills of Kigezi along the way. Upon arrival, relax at your lodge as you prepare for the next day’s unforgettable gorilla trekking experience.

After breakfast, proceed to the ranger station for briefing on trekking guidelines and safety procedures. You will then enter Bwindi Forest, a dense and mountainous landscape characterized by steep slopes and winding trails where mountain gorillas roam freely. The duration of the trek varies depending on the location of the gorillas. Once they are located, you will spend up to one hour observing these remarkable primates in their natural habitat.

Following the trek, embark on a 2 hours’ drive to Kisoro town for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your golden monkey trekking experience. You will then embark on a guided trek in search of the golden monkeys, which may last up to four hours.
After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before embarking on a six-hour drive to Lake Mburo National Park, known for its populations of antelopes and zebras.

Upon arrival at the lodge, take some time to relax before heading out for an evening game drive. During this excursion, you may encounter a variety of wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, elands, and other species.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and afterwards, begin your return journey of about 6 hours to Entebbe Airport. Along the way, make a stop at the Uganda Equator for a brief photo opportunity and perhaps to purchase locally made souvenirs.
