Uganda Safari Tour: Lake Mburo, Queen Elizabeth & Bwindi National Parks

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our company guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. There, you will check in, have dinner, and enjoy a comfortable night.

Wake up early, have breakfast, and set off for Lake Mburo National Park in Western Uganda. Have a short stopover at the equator. Lake Mburo is a hidden gem, home to impalas, zebras, topis, giraffes, elands, kobs, and a wide variety of bird species.

Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and relax at the lodge. In the evening, embark on a game drive to spot zebras, impalas, topis, elands, buffaloes, leopards, and more. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park, where you will encounter wildlife up close, including impalas, zebras, topis, giraffes, elands, kobs, and a variety of bird species.

Later, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a lunch stop in Mbarara en route. The Park is set on the floor of the Rift Valley and backed by the towering Rwenzori Mountains, and boasts stunning landscapes of rolling hills dotted with ancient craters.

Enjoy an early breakfast, then head out at 7:00 am for a 3–4-hour morning game drive to encounter a variety of animals including elephants, hippos, lions and kobs.

In the afternoon, take a 3-hour boat tour along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George. Operated by experts, you can expect to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of birds such as African skimmers, pelicans, spoonbills, and bee-eaters—great for close-up photos.

After an early breakfast, drive to Kyambura Gorge for an exciting 2–4-hour chimpanzee trekking adventure. Accompanied by a ranger, you will enter the forest in search of the chimpanzees, and once found, spend an unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat.

After chimpanzee tracking, enjoy a lunch break before visiting the Katwe Salt Crater Lakes. Here, you will observe how local residents mine salt using traditional methods.

After your morning breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park the home of mountain Gorillas with hot lunch enroute. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site and one of the world's richest biological and botanical regions. The forest covers an area of 331 km2 at the southwestern edge of the western Rift Valley.

Wake up early, enjoy breakfast, and then go to the gathering center for the briefing session regarding gorilla trekking rules and procedures. After the briefing, embark on a 3-6-hour trek passing through village gardens and dense jungle until you locate the gorillas. Once located, maintain a 7-meter distance to protect the gorillas’ health. Spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants—females with young, young males, and the dominant silverback—feeding, playing, or resting.

After the trek, return to the lodge for a restful evening.

Enjoy a relaxing breakfast overlooking the scenic islands of Lake Bunyonyi. Afterward, begin your long return journey of about 9 hours to Entebbe Airport. Along the way, continue enjoying beautiful views of the landscape of the western and southwestern region.
